It’s hard to believe how long it has been since I shared the first night of my Tasmania adventure. All photos from the trip had been edited and favourites from the Bay of Fires were chosen to share here on the blog, but then I hesitated… It didn’t feel like the right time and it’s impossible to put my finger on why I had that feeling. I just did. There are moments when procrastination is ineffective and can feel like being lazy, and then there are times when you need the distraction to clear your thoughts. This was one of those times, and so I retreated into my cocoon and waited.
Now autumn has come – yes, I missed posting during summer despite loving the beach – and the change in the air is more than just the temperatures cooling as the leaves begin to wither and fall. I can feel the change within and without, and so am here again. Thank you for being here too.
I’m returning to the blog at my first stop en route from Binalong Bay to The Gardens in the Bay of Fires, Tasmania. The Bay of Fires is a place that requires no words to speak of her beauty. Even photos feel like they can’t speak of it enough, as her beauty is so much more in real life than what the lens conveys.
For the first stop, I’m at Taylors Beach which is simply breathtaking. As you walk onto the beach, it feels like you’re being blinded by the light due to the incredibly white, sand then cooled by view of the aquamarine water. Especially surprising was that I had the beach to myself and I had to pinch myself as that seemed impossible. How could no one else be here taking in this incredible view? I could have easily sat with that pristine white sand between my toes and stared at the waves for hours.
