LOCATION: COSY CORNER, BAY OF FIRES, TASMANIA
It was during a late afternoon visit to the Cosy Corner that I shared what had been on my mind since arriving at the Bay of Fires – if there’s a time that the Bay of Fires doesn’t look AMAZING, I’m yet to see it.
A short drive on from my last stop at Taylors Beach revealed a beach that encompasses the contrast that the Bay of Fires is so well known for – white sand, aquamarine water and the stunning red of the rocky coastline – Cosy Corner. Just like Taylor’s Beach, I could’ve sat and watched the waves for hours, but at Cosy Corner the desire to explore the rocks was too much to resist.
This beach was a fantastic spot to explore with my children, who enjoyed climbing the rocks both in the sand and on the point. From the rocks, we could watch the seaweed dancing in the waves and look along the coastline of the Bay of Fires towards Binalong Bay and The Gardens. A second visit to Cosy Corner was made for them to swim in the incredibly clear water, their frolicking in the waves only cut short by the sighting of a stingray that has also come to play in the shallow water.
The trip along the Bay of Fires coastline just got a whole lot more amazing!
